Secondary School Teacher
Job description
These individuals prepare courses and teach students in secondary schools. They specialize in general, specialized, or vocational subjects. This group includes Group Leaders.
Environment
- Controlled ambient temperature
Main tasks
- Design and implement learning situations according to the authorized program.
- Teach students using a variety of teaching methods and techniques.
- Prepare, distribute, and correct assignments and evaluations.
- Assess student progress, identify individual needs, and implement remedial programs as required.
- Discuss student results with parents and school authorities.
- Ensure classroom discipline and report behavioural problems to school authorities.
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and training workshops.
- Get involved in various aspects of school life (supervise common areas, accompany students on outings, lead extracurricular activities, etc.).
- Collaborate with other teachers and professionals in the school.
- Supervise, as required, teaching interns.
